I don’t have any answers for how long this pandemic will last, how we are supposed to regenerate energy to keep going, and how we are supposed to keep patient until the end of the virus and the beginning of the “normal ” that we used to have. There are no solutions that are guaranteed to be 100% effective and no way of knowing the right paths to take until they are taken. If I had magic ideas I wouldn’t be struggling so much along with all of you.
What I do know is that, for better or worse, we all somehow ended up in long term care, at Fairhaven, and we will get absolutely nowhere without supporting each other, trusting each other and thinking of each other in our words and actions. I feel strongly that we could have just as easily gone through the second wave unscathed but the virus is imperceptible and preys on the weak, finding paths that do not appear to even exist. But here we are and we have a big challenge ahead of us.
If I hear anything, in public, at the City and County level, or from the Province, that questions the actions, or quality, of any Fairhaven employees, I will strongly dispute those comments in any forum and take as much time as needed to prove that the person making those claims is patently wrong and irresponsible. Keep doing what you are doing; that is all we can ask of anybody that works on our team. I cannot thank our employees enough.
